High-Heat Environments

Runs next to heat sources and weld puddles without softening, flowing, or losing insulation value.

The Environment

Built For High-Heat Environments

Near furnaces, weld cells, and hot process equipment, standard thermoplastic jackets soften, flow, and eventually fail. Electron beam crosslinking rebuilds the polymer into a three-dimensional network that behaves like a thermoset — staying dimensionally stable and insulating well past the melting point of the base resin.

High-Heat Environments
How It Works

What the beam actually changes

High-energy electrons break select bonds in the polymer chains, and those chains immediately reconnect into permanent crosslinks. Once that network forms, the material can no longer flow when heated — instead of melting, it holds its geometry and mechanical strength across a much wider temperature range.

  • Resists deformation and flow at elevated temperatures
  • Maintains insulation integrity through thermal cycling
  • Higher continuous operating temperature rating
  • Reduced risk of jacket melt near heat sources and weld puddles
